Shawn otway

Strength Coach

Shawn grew up near Lake Wallenpaupack in the Pocono’s where he spent a lot of time out on the lake water skiing, surfing, and wakeboarding. His athletic background is mainly in long distance running, mid distance running, and soccer.


He fell in love with Philadelphia sports at a young age which led him to pursue a degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Temple University and move to Philadelphia full time. Since moving to Philly, he has gained experience as an exercise physiologist, group fitness instructor, and a strength and conditioning coach. He strives to challenge his clients and help them get a little better every day. His training philosophy centers around how we can use functional anatomy, exercise physiology, and biomechanics to best achieve our goals.

In addition to his B.S in exercise science from Temple, Shawn is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Outside of fitness, Shawn enjoys spending time with his friends and family, live music, and traveling.
