Semi-Private Training vs. Group Fitness: What’s the Difference?

Semi-private training gives each person an individualized strength program while preserving the energy of training alongside others. Group fitness usually asks everyone to follow the same workout. The real difference is not simply class size; it is whether the program is built around the individual.
WHAT HAPPENS IN GROUP FITNESS?
A group class is organized around one shared workout, pace and objective. A good instructor can offer substitutions, but the session still has to move as a group. That can suit people who mainly want a scheduled workout and a strong social atmosphere.

WHAT HAPPENS IN SEMI-PRIVATE TRAINING?
At Leverage Fitness, members train in a small coached environment while following their own programs. Two people beside each other may use different exercises, loads and progressions. Coaches know each member’s goals, history and current limitations.
WHICH OPTION IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
Group fitness may suit someone seeking variety and a communal workout. Semi-private training is generally a better fit for someone who wants personal programming and active coaching without paying for one-on-one attention every session.
Exercises are selected for you.
Loads and progressions reflect your ability.
Movements can be modified without removing you from the room.
Your coach tracks a plan rather than inventing a new workout each visit.
Leverage uses semi-private training because we believe coaching is the product. The room should have energy, but the program should still belong to you. The 30 Day Intro gives you time to experience that difference.
