Hope was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina and studied Exercise and Sport Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she worked for the athletic department (go Tar Heels!) and learned from the university’s strength coaches and sports nutrition researchers. Following graduation, she became a NASM-Certified Personal Trainer and began coaching clients in a 1-on-1 setting, focusing on strength and conditioning. Motivated by her desire to thoroughly understand and incorporate exercise physiology in her coaching, Hope later became a NSCA-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Hope moved to Philadelphia to pursue her M.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics with a concentration in Sports Nutrition at Drexel University. In her time at Drexel, she has worked with elite athletes at organizations like the Philadelphia Eagles and Drexel University Center for Nutrition and Performance. Once she graduates in June of 2023, Hope plans to become a sports dietitian and eventually would like to work with the military.
Hope’s passions for exercise and nutrition both stem from her love for human performance. She seeks to understand how body systems interact with external load and food as fuel in order to push the body to its full potential, regardless of an individual’s fitness level or goals.
